The purpose of this experiment is to determine whether
there is a correlation between furniture and the incidence of cancer.
We expect that many environmental effects influence the incidence of
cancer, but choice of furniture is probably not one of them.
Standard statistical survey tools and equipment.
A list of 200 terminal cancer patients was compiled, along with
a list of 200 control subjects of known good health.
We observed the furnishings used by the members of both lists.
While choice of furniture used by the control group varied widely,
the test group seemed to prefer adjustable hospital beds by a wide
margin. In fact, of the 197 subjects who survived the questionaire,
all were using such a bed when questioned.
The hypothesis was not confirmed.
Hospital beds have a high correlation with severe cases of cancer. Next Experiment
